How does the pricing work?
The prices displayed are an average of the photographers in your area. When selecting a photographer, you will see the total price for each photographer. No hidden fees or waiting until checkout to see the total price. This price will include the photographer’s rate (including applicable mileage charges), and editing + fees. A breakdown of these costs will be displayed at your checkout.
When do I pay for an order?
The last step in the checkout process is making your payment. If you upgrade your order, you will need to make an additional payment. If you downgrade or cancel your order, we will issue the appropriate refund.
Is there a subscription to be on PhotoReal?
PhotoReal is subscription free! No monthly charges ever. We charge a fee when an order is placed so that you only pay when you need to.
Is there a mileage charge?
When selecting a photographer, you will see which photographers charge a mileage fee for the address you selected.
Ordering & Modifications
How do I modify an order? (services ordered, time, etc.)?
Modifying an order is easy! Most modifications can be made in the order until the morning of the appointment. Login to your account and under active orders click on the address.
There is an edit button for each part of the order. If you need to modify an order after this time, you can click on the contact photographer button to send a message.
What is your cancellation policy?
There is a minimum $49 cancellation fee for orders cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time. Photographers may charge an additional cancellation fee.
This will be noted on the photographer’s profile and as part of the order.
Scheduling & Notifications
Can my seller be notified of the time?
Absolutely! When you add the seller’s email address to the order at checkout, they will receive a confirmation email with the time as well.
Can my assistant be notified of the time and details?
Absolutely! When you add your assistant’s email address to the order at checkout, they will receive a confirmation email with the time as well. They will receive all communication from photographer.
Media Delivery & Storage
How and when is my media delivered?
Your media will be ready the day after the media creation appointment. You will receive an email notifying you when it’s ready.
How long will PhotoReal store my media?
Your media will be available to view online in your account for 1 year. After 1 year your media will be stored offline and may be available by submitting a request to the PhotoReal support team.
Photographers & Qualifications
My favorite photographer is unavailable, what do I do?
There are many talented photographers on the PhotoReal platform. If your favorite photographer is unavailable for the date/time selected, you are welcome to look for an alternative date/time with your favorite photographer. If you need a specific date/time and your favorite photographer is unable to accommodate, please place your order with one of the other photographers in your area.
How do I reach my favorite photographer directly?
If you need to discuss an order with your photographer, open the order and click on the Message Photographer button.
How does my favorite photographer join PhotoReal?
Start by sending them an invite! When you create your account you will be prompted to add your favorite photographer or invite them if they are not on PhotoReal already. We make the joining process for photographers fast and easy.
Are background checks performed on the photographers?
Yes! We perform a background check on all photographers before they can join the PhotoReal platform. We also perform yearly background checks so that you can hire with confidence.
Do the photographers carry insurance?
Yes! We require that our photographers carry general liability insurance and auto insurance.
Do photographers have FAA drone licenses?
Yes! We require photographers to show proof of their FAA license before they can offer drone services on PhotoReal.

How do I reach customer support?
Please email us at support@photoreal.io. The support team will be able to help you answer general questions about the PhotoReal platform Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM EST. If you need to reach your photographer about an upcoming order, please open the order to message your photographer directly.

What if I’m not fully satisfied with the photos?
While reviewing your photos and other media, you may request additional edits. If you need to request a reshoot, please contact the photographer directly.
Do you have any stock photos of the community I’m looking to photograph?
Please reach out to the photographer completing your media creation appointment to ask them if they have any existing stock photos or to request that they take stock photos.
