About PhotoReal
After photographing 10,000 homes personally and over 50,000 as a business I asked the next logical question—where do we go from here?
I started my real estate photography business because I wanted to make a living taking photos. Sound familiar?
In the middle of the 2009 housing recession, I knocked on every real estate office door in my city. Let’s just say I didn’t get the response I was hoping for. After two and a half years of being told no, I was finally told yes.
After that, the shutter on my camera never stopped clicking (until I switched to a mirrorless camera body that is).
Building a Team
In those early days, I did it all—sales, scheduling, customer support, oh, and taking and editing all the photos and videos. When there were more homes to photograph than there were hours in the day, I started building a team. That team became a well-oiled machine.
Supporting Photographers
Which brings me back to where we started. I realized I wanted to help more photographers like myself find meaningful work. But simply opening new locations in other cities didn’t make sense
The world of real estate is relationally based, and I can’t clone myself in each new city. But I still wanted to find a way to lift up other photographers.
Coming into focus
After talking with others, the solution came into focus. A platform to connect real estate photographers and real estate agents. The platform would support independent photographers and provide the best ordering experience for agents.
PhotoReal was born.
And now you’re here. Photographers, you’re no longer on your own. Agents, you now have easier access to photographers you can trust.
